10 Artists That Rocked the Show at India’s First Ever EDC Festival.

Ever since the news of EDC making its debut in India has been announced music lovers are going crazy, everyone is coming up with the list of their famous stars that are performing and pretty excited to see their favourite artists.

Well EDC  i.e, Electric Daisy Carnival is going live right now and the icing on the cake is that it’s happening on home ground—New Delhi, India.

Here’s the list of 10 Artists That are currently Rocking the Show at India’s First Ever EDC Festival. Tune into the EDC Playlist to listen to your favourite artist.

1. Ferry Corsten

Probably one of the best artist when it comes to Trance music ,hailing from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Ferry Corsten’s lustrous career is exemplified by a passion for music that began as a hobby and spiraled into a full-blown profession.

His music always remains ahead of his time, and generally makes music that becomes a template for others to follow. Starting his carrier from the album Out of the Blue the which became a worldwide hit and charted in the UK’s Top 20 UK singles charts and Japan’s Top 10 singles charts for three consecutive years after its release he has really came a long way. Trance Nation by him is such example of his creativity and talent.

In his early 2000’s he was popular under a bunch of aliases—System, Moonmen and Gouryella. And then EDC happened which proved to be Corstens signature playing fields when it comes to music festivals.

He was ranked number 5 in DJ Mag in 2004 and he has remained a top in the league for extraordinary trance music producers.

2. Markus Schulz

One artist that has recently gained a lot of fame in the World of EDM is Markus Schulz thanks to his sensational tracks like Destiny, Nothing Without Me and Perception.

Few of his hit numbers are Love Me Like You Never Did, Love Rain Down, First Time, I Am, Do You Dream and Rotunda.

Markus and Ferry have started together a new EDM group called New World Punx which is getting a lot of hype in the industry.

One name in EDM Industry that needs to introduction is Alesso, he is currently the most popular and easily recognizable faces in the dance music scene, globally.

If you have to figure out which artist is performing in the music festival, then watch out for audience and if the audience is grooving incessantly every time he plays something he is definitely Alesso.

Better remembered fondly as one of the trio of Swedish House Mafia and some great collaborations with artists like Tove Lo, Calvin Harris and Usher he became the better known producer he is today.

4. Steve Aoki

Born in a wrestler family Steve Aoki the guy with the straight long hair, colourful vests and riotous pants and is behind some of the most cult electro house mixes and has been awarded for Best Set and Album of the Year. His father is a wrestler who founded the popular restaurant chain Benihana. His music beats can make the crowd go crazy.

5. Afrojack

The guy with most no. of visits to India .He’s our very own homeboy now ,the amount of times he has performed in India,turning out the best of his music and getting the crowd raving is quite unparalleled for most international dance music producers.

6. Vini Vici

Aviram and Matan (aka Vini Vici ) duo are responsible for Vini Vici ,a Psychedelic trance act with progressive touches. Though they are still a beginner in this industry little bit more then a year – but within this short time they have managed to get tracks that had great success on Beatport, fully played by the biggest Psytrance DJ’s. Even huge trance DJ’s like Armin Van Buuren and Aly & Fila.

7. B.R.E.E.D

Another duo to watch out for is based out of Los Angeles consisting of Ritesh D’Souza, a.k.a., B.R.E.E.D Boy and Tara Mae, a.k.a., B.R.E.E.D Girl. What’s more exciting is that they together bring out the best of music and high fashion with their sounds and get-ups. started out in India, today are some of the headliners along acts like Yellow Claw at festivals like Coachella, Sunburn and VH1 Supersonic. If you’ve never heard or watched them perform, EDC is the best place to see them this weekend—the playing field is big and so are their tunes.

8. Pearl

Pearl certainly has been the most experienced and most celebrated artist as early as the onset of EDM in India. Being one of the women pioneers in the field at the time and still remaining as popular favourite for the hardcore, legit listeners this lady has came a long way.

She’s also the Co-founders of Submerge, the name and brand that has brought EDM in its true form.

Roan Sable and Sidhant Naren the Pune-based electronic duo, took their love for underground electronic dance music and turned it into a wave of the best homegrown techno music we could have imagined. Formed back in 2011 and in 2013, opened for fellow contemporary Arjun Vagale’s widely acclaimed show, Re:Focus, in February. Ever since there has been no looking back for the homeboys as they went on to play alongside Ambivalent, BLOT! , Kohra and Spektre amongst others.

10. SHFT

If you are someone who hails from DELHI/NCR, then you must have heard name of a very artist Vipul Angirish. Vipul goes by the name, SHFT, pronounced like ‘shift’. He has been in this business since 2008 and has garnered a name for his club-friendly sounds combined with hypnotic elements that make any one present want to groove.
